EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man was taken into custody for leaving the scene of an auto-pedestrian accident involving a teenager.
Edinburg resident Dennis Bullard, 69, is accused of striking a 13-year-old girl Tuesday morning.
Police say the teenager was walking to school when she was struck crossing the intersection of North McColl Road and West Schunior Road.
A witness at the scene helped police with the vehicle's license plate number, leading police to locate Bullard.

Bullard faces charges of collision involving bodily injury and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
A witness at the scene rendered immediate aid and transported the teenage girl to the school.
She was immediately taken to a local hospital and is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
