MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man died early Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle. However, the driver involved in the collision has yet to turn themselves in.
McAllen Police believe they have a suspect and have issued an arrest warrant for John Anthony Saenz for a charge of collision involving death, a second-degree felony.
Saenz is 28 and described by authorities as weighing 200 pounds and standing at 5'8" with black hair and brown eyes. His last known address is in Edinburg.
At 2:44 a.m. Friday, police responded to the 200 block of S. 10th St in McAllen to investigate a collision involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian has been identified as Juan Nava Hernandez, 36. He was from McAllen and died from injuries sustained in the collision.
Saenz left the scene after allegedly striking Nava Hernandez.
