Surveillance footage shows suspect in Edinburg shop robbery

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated robbery at an Edinburg smoke shop.

On May 30, authorities responded to an aggravated robbery at a smoke shop located at FM 2812 in rural Edinburg, according to a news release from HCSO.

Video footage captured the suspect wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, black cargo shorts, a black full-face mask and off-white slip-on shoes holding a navy blue cloth.

Surveillance video from the outside of the smoke shop captured the vehicle involved in what investigators believe to be a newer model Chevrolet passenger car, the release added.
