SOUTH TEXAS HEALTH SYSTEM EDINBURG NOMINATED FOR “MOST BEAUTIFUL HOSPITAL” IN THE U.S.

The winning hospital will receive a $5,000 donation to the facility’s foundation from contest organizer Soliant, a national healthcare staffing firm

South Texas Health System Edinburg, which opened its new five-story, $105 million patient tower in the summer of 2022 to meet the growing healthcare needs of the Rio Grande Valley, has been nominated for the 2025 Most Beautiful Hospitals contest “for its striking five-story patient tower that rises from one of Edinburg’s busiest streets, symbolizing both innovation and community commitment,” reads the nomination page.

Organized by Soliant, a national healthcare staffing firm, the contest will recognize the top 20 most beautiful hospitals across the country.

“From the moment you step into the main lobby, you’re greeted by an atmosphere that mirrors a five-star hotel—elegant finishes, spacious interiors, and natural light that enhances every detail,” reads the nomination page. “The patient rooms are intentionally designed with comfort in mind, featuring soft, welcoming color palettes, expansive layouts, and large windows that fill the space with sunlight and warmth—an environment that promotes both physical and emotional healing.”

Since 2009, more than 200 outstanding hospitals have been recognized by Soliant for their commitment to creating holistic and healing environments.

This year, the company will donate $5,000 to the foundation of the hospital that wins the 2025 Most Beautiful Hospital title.

Hospital beauty is “more than skin deep; healthcare staff create the heart and soul of the hospital, radiating a special kind of beauty formed through genuine connections with patients,” says David Alexander, Chief Executive Officer, Soliant.

Since the launch of the contest on Monday, June 23, STHS Edinburg has consistently ranked in the top three. As of 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, the facility had already garnered 29,138 votes, putting the facility firmly in second place.

As a patient, employee or community member, you can support STHS Edinburg – the only South Texas facility in the running for the title – by visiting the facility’s nomination page and voting as often as you’d like. Voting is open to anyone from now until Friday, July 25, 2025.

The winner of this year’s contest, along with the top 20 hospitals, will be announced on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
