Stefano's Brooklyn Pizza to host fundraiser for Johnny's True Value after fire

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Stefano's Brooklyn Pizza is hosting a fundraiser in support of the employees from Johnny's True Value in Harlingen, which was considered a total loss after a fire broke out Tuesday morning.

The fundraiser will be held July 30 and 31.

Stafano's will sell a 16" pepperoni or cheese pizza for $8.88 with dine in or carry out options.

Half of the proceeds from the pizza sales will go toward Johnny's True Value employees.

This comes just a few years after Stefano's was destroyed by its own devastating fire.

In 2021, when the fire took place, ValleyCentral spoke with the Chef/general Manager of Stefano's Graham Smith who said, “It’s gut-wrenching watching something you built. I didn’t wanna do that. It’s hard to watch something you’ve built for seven years go up in flames. You gotta start over but it won’t be the first time we’ve started over."
