Starbase to hold first city commission meeting, swears in officials

STARBASE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The first city commission of Starbase, Texas, is set to take place Thursday around 9 a.m.

During the meeting, the city will:

• hold a swearing-in ceremony for the new mayor and city commissioners.
• appoint a city attorney, a city administrator, a city clerk, and other city officials.
• approve an agreement with SpaceX for the "Provision of meeting space" for city commission meetings.

In addition, Starbase is will hold another meeting at 9 a.m. on Friday to make another round of decisions, such as selecting a mayor pro-tem, setting a schedule for regular city commission meetings, and more.
