SPI nature center announces death of alligator

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center announced the passing of its beloved alligator, Laguna.

Laguna is remembered positively by her friends at the nature center.

"She was a wonderful alligator, sweet as can be and did a wonderful job representing her species to our visitors," the SPI Birding and Nature Center announced.

Laguna is also remembered for spending the majority of her time laying in the sun and with her husband, Big Padre.

"Enjoy the big bayou in the sky, Laguna," the nature center continued. "You are loved."
