SPI city leaders to discuss proposed convention center expansion

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (ValleyCentral) — South Padre Island city leaders will host a public workshop to discuss a proposed Convention Center Expansion Project.

The workshop will allow the city to discuss how the facility will be expanded.

According to a workshop meeting agenda, the project includes renovating existing facilities and expanding the center's exhibit hall, ballroom, meeting room, and theater room.

Residents are welcome to attend the workshop to speak with city council on agenda or non-agenda items.

The workshop will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, at Paul Y. Cunningham Jr. City Hall on 4601 Padre Blvd.
