STARBASE, TEXAS (ValleyCentral) — SpaceX announced its preparation for the 11th flight test of Starship, to launch on October 13.

The launch window is expected to open at 6:15 p.m., and the flight test will be streamed live 30 minutes before liftoff. It can be viewed on the SpaceX website or on X @SpaceX. LabPadre will also be live-streaming the launch of its YouTube page.

According to SpaceX, the 11th flight test will “build on the successful demonstrations from Starship's 10th flight test.”

After three rescheduled dates due to weather and troubleshooting, SpaceX launched its 10th Starship rocket on August 26 from Boca Chica Beach and successfully splashed down in the Indian Ocean.

During the 10th flight, Starship deployed all eight of its simulation V3 satellites, marking the first time it had successfully deployed all of its payloads.

With data gathered from past flight experiments, SpaceX plans to use Flight 8's booster and is now expected to launch with 24 flight-proven Raptor engines on the 11th flight.

SpaceX adds that the attempt will happen while on a trajectory to an offshore landing point in the Gulf of America, not returning to the launch site for a catch.

The 11th flight test's primary goal is to measure the real-world vehicle dynamics as engines shut down while transitioning between the different phases.
