South Texas College opens new facility for tech programs

RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — South Texas College Starr County Campus held a ribbon-cutting on Tuesday for an expansion to its technical programs.

According to the school, the expansion of more than 13,000 square feet of lab and lecture space will be dedicated to technical programs.

The new additions include a brand-new 2,931 square-foot facility dedicated to automotive technology and expansions for Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR), Electrician Technology, and Welding, complete with enhanced computer and lecture classrooms.
