Sources: RGV Sector Border Patrol Chief Gloria Chavez fired

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Multiple sources have confirmed that U.S. Border Patrol Rio Grande Valley Sector Chief Gloria Chavez was fired, Ali Bradley, a NewsNation affiliate of ValleyCentral reported.

ValleyCentral has reached out to CBP to learn why Chavez was fired. However, we have yet to hear back.

Chavez is a Brownsville native and has held multiple executive leadership positions during her tenure with the patrol.

Bradley stated that Chavez started her career in the patrol in 1995 and became sector chief in Spokane back in 2010.

Chavez took over the RGV sector in 2022, after running the El Paso Sector.
