Smoke from Old County Jail prompts evacuation

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — An evacuation is currently in place at the Old County Jail in Brownsville.

Authorities report smoke was coming out of the building, prompting the evacuation.

ValleyCentral reached out the the Brownsville Fire Department but have yet to hear back.

No injuries have been reported.
