HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Two siblings were arrested after a shooting investigation in Harlingen, authorities say.
Brownsville resident, Damian Tovias, was charged with deadly conduct and three counts of aggravated assault. San Benito resident Jocelyn Tovias was charged with tampering with evidence, according to a news release from the Harlingen Police Department.
On April 19, authorities responded to a disturbance at the 2200 block of Treasure Haven. During the investigation, it was determined that a man, identified as Damian, had fired a handgun at a silver Chevrolet truck driving on the roadway in front of the residence.
According to police, by the time responding officers arrived, Damian had left the scene.

During the investigation, authorities discovered Jocelyn had tampered with the evidence in an alleged attempt to conceal her brother's weapon.
An arrest warrant was issued for both the Tovias siblings days following the incident.
On April 23, the Major Crime Unit, Area Detectives, K9 Unit and U.S. Marshals Task Force located and arrested Damian in Brownsville without further incident.
On Friday, April 25, Jocelyn was taken into custody.
Damian was issued a total bond of $400,000. Jocelyn received a total bond of $6,000.
