Sheriff: Missing 83-year-old woman found dead

ROMA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — An 83-year-old woman who went missing over the weekend in Starr County was found dead.

A Silver Alert was issued for Maria Lopez Zambrano, who was last seen Sunday evening at the 400 block of N. Estrella St. in Roma.

Zambrano was reported to be diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer's.

No foul play is suspected.

The Starr County Sheriff's Office released a statement on Zambrano's death.
