Shaine Casas secures spot at 2024 Olympics

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) —  Rio Grande Valley native and McAllen High School graduate Shaine Casas has secured his spot for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Casas took second place in the Men's 200M Individual Medley on Friday.

Casas qualified for the finals of the 200-individual medley at the U.S. Olympic swimming trials held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Thursday.

This will be Casas's first Olympic Games.
