MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Mission announced that a recently renovated park was vandalized over the weekend.
City officials shared images of the vandalism at Lions Park, showing the damage inside the park's restroom.
The photo shows a shattered mirror, broken toilet paper dispensers, and hand soap dispensers mounted off the wall.
"Lions Park was unfortunately vandalized, causing serious damage to the park and its facilities. We want to remind everyone that vandalizing public property is a crime, and these actions have consequences," the city announced.
The vandalism comes after the city celebrated the park's reopening in January.
This is a developing story.
