Semi-trailer accident causes power outages in Mission area

MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A downed power line is causing power outages in the Mission area, according to the Mission Firefighters Association.

The power outage is affecting residents around Glasscock Road and 495 after a semi-trailer hit a pole, causing a power line to fall over.

Mission firefighters, police and EMS personnel are at the scene.

According to AEP Texas, there are currently 147 customers in the area without power.

Crews are assisting Mission first responders to restore power in the area.

Power is estimated to be restored by 3 p.m., according to AEP Texas.
