SAN BENITO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — After months of anticipation, the first Chick-fil-A in San Benito is ready to open its doors next week.
Chick-fil-A San Benito will be owned and operated by Stephanie Champion, who began her Chick-fil-A journey as a team member in Alamo.

"I’m so grateful for the opportunity to return to the Valley where I grew up and open a Chick-fil-A restaurant in San Benito, a community with incredible potential for growth," Champion said.
The new restaurant will feature an indoor playground, and it is estimated to bring approximately 90 jobs to the community.
The new restaurant will join six other Chick-fil-A restaurants in Cameron County.
"Chick-fil-A has made such a profound impact on my life, and my mission is to create opportunities that will change lives for generations to come," Champion continued.

Chick-fil-A San Benito will open its doors and begin serving guests at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18.
Guests who dress in cow-print on opening day can receive one free entrée or a kid's meal.
The new restaurant will be located at 1062 W. Business 77.
