San Benito Fire Department to host inaugural rib-eating contest

SAN BENITO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The San Benito Fire Department is calling all BBQ enthusiasts to its inaugural rib-eating contest and fundraiser.

The inaugural event will allow the fire department to raise funds for its Fire Prevention Open House in October.

"Your participation will directly contribute to making this event even better and help spread vital fire prevention knowledge," San Benito FD stated.

The event will be held at 5 p.m., July 5, at the San Benito Fairgrounds during Resaca Fest.

"Let's come together, enjoy some incredible ribs, and support your local Fire Department in our mission to keep our community safe," San Benito FD continued.
