San Benito Chamber hosts annual Casino Night to help students

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The San Benito Chamber of Commerce is hosting its eighth annual casino night at the Oak Hill Event Center in San Benito, featuring live music, casino games, and a raffle to support scholarships for local students.

The event promises a variety of entertainment options, including live music, culinary arts desserts, a mechanical bull, and casino games such as blackjack and slot machines. Rolling Smokes will cater the event, providing barbecue for attendees.

"This is our eighth annual casino night," said Toni Crane, Chairman of the Board for the Assembly Chamber of Commerce. "Every year it grows and grows." Alma Flores, Executive Director for the Chamber, added, "We’re going to be showcasing our San Benito students."

The casino night is set to open its doors at 6 p.m. at the Oak Hill Event Center, located at 1780 US-77off of Business 83. Dinner will be served from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and the event will feature a silent auction alongside the raffle.

Tickets for the Louis Vuitton raffle are still available for $25 each, offering a chance to win a purse valued at approximately $2,200. Interested individuals can contact the San Benito Chamber of Commerce for more information. Volunteers are welcome to assist with the event, and those interested can reach out to the Chamber to offer their help.

The event's theme is "Yellowstone," encouraging attendees to dress in Western attire. Proceeds from the casino night will help fund scholarships for San Benito students, supporting their pursuit of higher education. The Chamber expressed gratitude to its sponsors for making the event possible.

With a sold-out attendance and a variety of activities planned, the San Benito Chamber of Commerce's casino night aims to provide an enjoyable evening while benefiting local students.
