HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Recovery efforts continue across the Rio Grande Valley after last week's torrential downpours and local organizations are helping any way they can.
Harlingen
In Harlingen, the Salvation Army is providing meals at noon through Saturday to help out those who may have experiences severe home and auto damage during the storm.
The Salvation Army is donating BBQ sandwiches, chips, water and snacks to those affected.
There are two locations where residents can pick up a quick meal:
- The Salvation Army, located on Monroe Ave. will be donating 600 meals
- Harlingen Arts & Heritage Museum, located on 2425 Boxwood St. will be donating 450 meals
Pharr
In Pharr, the Salvation Army is donating meals at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The event will be a drive-thru meal distribution that will last until Friday at the Jones Box Park, located at 1201 W Rosa Ln., in Pharr.
Distributions will begin daily at 6 p.m. until supplies lasts.
The meals are available to anyone who needs them.
