EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — An RV was declared a total loss following a fire Thursday afternoon in Edinburg.
The fire was reported at the 4900 block of Dandelion St.
According to Hidalgo County Fire Marshal Homero Garza, the fire originated in the kitchen and spread throughout the rest of the RV.
The homeowners reported having a rodent problem and claimed everything was turned off at the time of the fire.
Two dogs died in the fire. Nobody else was home during the incident.
The cause of the fire is unknown and pending further investigation. Hidalgo County Community Service Agency and the American Red Cross have been notified to help the family.
