RioPlex in Houston – Larry McManus’ remarks from the podium

HOUSTON, Texas – RioPlex hosted its “Texas Port to the Stars Foreign Direct Investment Summit” at the Westin Galleria in Houston on April 9th and 10th, 2025.

It was the first time the region – the Rio Grande Valley and northern Tamaulipas – had promoted itself at a summit held outside its boundaries.

One of the speakers at the event was Larry McManus, director of business and community development for the Texas Economic Development & Tourism, Office of the Governor. After his remarks, McManus took questions from the audience, including two from Juan Luis Perez, president of CAL-IXA.
