RioPlex in Houston: Jesse Thompson’s remarks from the podium

HOUSTON, Texas – RioPlex hosted its “Texas Port to the Stars Foreign Direct Investment Summit” at the Westin Galleria in Houston on April 9th and 10th, 2025.

It was the first time the region – the Rio Grande Valley and northern Tamaulipas – had promoted itself at a summit held outside its boundaries.

One of the speakers at the event was Jesse Thompson, senior business economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Houston Branch. Here is a video recording of his speech:
