Rio Grande City swears in new officials

RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Rio Grande City held a swearing in ceremony for three new members of its city commission Monday.

Newly elected Mayor Gilberto Falcon, Commissioner Ediel Barrera, and Commissioner Eudolio Barrera were sworn in by Judge Jose Luis Garza of the 381st District Court.

Additionally, on Thursday Rio Grande City swore in a new police chief for its school district.

Rio Grande City Grulla Independent School District School Board President Basilio Villarreal Jr. swore news Police Chief Hugo Garcia.
