HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Rotary Club of Historic Brownsville discusses its Ride for Rotary 2025 fundraiser event.
Organized by the Rotary Club of Brownsville in 2009, the event supports various community projects, including feeding the homeless and providing glasses, and involves five interactive teams with 500 kids.
The ride has grown from 15-25 riders to over 300 participants of all ages and offers two routes: a 45-mile expert route and a 30-mile beginner route.
Safety measures, including Support and Gear (SAG), are in place.
The event starts at 7 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5, at the Brownsville Event Center, with the finish line at Louie's Backyard on South Padre Island.
Participants are encouraged to wear helmets and bring positive energy.
