RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Residents have voted against the Rio Grande City Grulla Independent School District's Proposition A, according to unofficial results.
According to unofficial election results, 2,201 residents voted against Proposition A, or 73.98% percent of the vote.
Approximately 774 people voted for Rio Grande City Grulla ISD Proposition A, or 26.02% of the vote.
Rio Grande City Grulla ISD Proposition A was a tax increase of 4.19%, or approximately $3,819,211, for maintenance and operations for the district in the current year, compared to previous years, according to the district's order of voter approval tax ratification election.
