RESCINDED: Boil water notice for community public water systems

MERCEDES, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The boil water notice issued by the Military Highway Water Supply Corporation (MHWSC) has been rescinded.

The notice was issued for the communities of Lagos, Resaca Santa, Resaca del Monte, Palmer, Bent Tree, and others in the surrounding vicinity was recommended by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality on June 19.

TCEQ laboratory test results indicate that the water no longer requires boiling before use as of June 20, 2025.
