EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Region One Education Service Center brought together the smaller, rural school districts of the Rio Grande Valley for a convocation in Edinburg.
Friday's assembly inspired motivation among staff as they prepare for a new school year.
"This is an assembly that we've been doing for the last three years. Our small school districts don't have the opportunity, like bigger schools, to be able to experience speakers that motivate and inspire teachers. Our Region One partners came together to make this happen, to invite all our small schools, so that we can all celebrate just like our big schools," said Robert Muñoz, Superintendent, La Villa ISD.
In addition to La Villa ISD, San Isidro ISD, Lasara ISD, San Perlita ISD, and The PossAble Dream Adult High School attended the event.
First day of school for these districts is Monday, Aug. 25.
