Region One hosts literary summit for early childhood educators

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Region One Education Service Center is hosting a summit for educators who teach pre-kindergarten through first grade.

The purpose of the summit is to strengthen the connection between classroom literacy activities and home support for early childhood educators.

Region One hopes that participants will walk away with practical, research based strategies to help teachers and parents become more effective partners in the child's literacy journey.

"By fostering strong school-home relationships, educators and families can ensure that literacy development is nurtured consistently both in and out of the classroom," Region One stated.
