RAYMONDVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Raymondville Independent School District is expanding its food service program to bring a wide range of meals to students.

The expansion is part of the district's goal to lead in student education, nutrition and well-being.

"I'm incredibly proud to say that Raymondville ISD has the best food service in the Valley," said Benjamin Clinton, Deputy Superintendent with Raymondville ISD.

"Our goal is to go out and look for fresh ingredients and fresh products," said Alfred Walker, President of Walker Quality Services "The kids have responded well because we listen to them. We talk to the students and we ask them for their input."

Food lines in service at Raymondville schools are pasta, sandwich, wing bar, potato and international food lines.

"These great meals, these great lunches, really contribute to our ability to teach at the highest levels at our schools," Clinton said. "We're serving the best, the best food in our school cafeterias than any student is able to eat."
