SAN JUAN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A PSJA Early College High School student has made it to the legendary Texas A&M Aggie Band.
Senior Luis Zuniga will attend Texas A&M University in College Station this fall. His journey is one of perseverance, personal growth, and a powerful example of how dedication can turn dreams into reality.
After months of demanding practices, Zuniga earned a spot in the Aggie Band, one of the nation's most prestigious and competitive collegiate marching bands, according to the district.
PSJA Early College High School's Luis Zuniga will play for the Texas A&M Aggie Band in the Fall of 2025.
Photo courtesy: PSJA ISD“I was overwhelmed with excitement and a bit of anxiety,” Zuniga recalled. “I couldn’t wait to share the news with my family, especially my mom. She was so emotional and proud. I’ve been dreaming of this moment for as long as I can remember.”
Zuniga has a connection to Texas A&M as his uncle was a proud member of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets.
Now, he is ready to follow in his uncle's footsteps and bring a unique contribution to the Aggie Band.
