PSJA ISD: Student brings airsoft gun to Ford Elementary

PSJA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A student at Henry Ford Elementary brought an airsoft gun to school, prompting an investigation by the districts police, authorities announced.

The Pharr San Juan Alamo guardian officer that is stationed at the campus was immediately notified and began to investigate, according to a media statement released by the district.

Authorities say no immediate threat was made to students or staff and all students and staff are safe.

The report was investigated and concluded that a student violated the Student Code of Conduct by bringing an airsoft gun to school.

"All threats reported are always taken seriously by PSJA ISD, Schools and the PSJA Police Department," PSJA administration stated. "We thank all students, parents, and staff for being vigilant and encourage them to always report any information that jeopardizes students' safety or that of others. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority."
