PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral)—The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District is launching its Health and Safety Operation buses and donation drive to support the families affected by the recent floods.
Starting from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, through Friday, April 4, PSJA ISD will be mobilizing its Health and Safety mobile Operantions buses to send essential support for students and their families.
Services provided by the health and safety buses include student wellness checks, social-emotional support and additional assistance.
The following locations are the stops for the mobile operations bus:
- Carmen Anaya Elementary
- Graciela Garcia Elementary
- Donation Drop-off Location:
- Dr. Daniel P. King College & University Center (U Building)
- Entrance via Veterans & Bears Trail
The district will also be hosting a donation drive for families in need.
The donation drive will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Tuesday, April 1, through Friday, April 4.
Items that are needed in the donation drive are the following:
- Hygiene supplies
- Toilet paper
- Bottled water
- Blankets
- Non-perishable food such as rice, beans, canned goods and dry foods
- Cleaning supplies such as mops, buckets and cloths
- Mosquito repellent
- Newly packaged child-sized undergarments
The donations can be dropped off at Dr. Daniel P. King PSJA College and University Center — U Building, located at 704 W Ridge Rd. The entrance will be located through the Veterans and Bears trail.
