PSJA Bear Cano signs with Texas A&M International

SAN JUAN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — PSJA Early College High School senior Vinny Cano signed a letter of intent to play baseball at the collegiate level, according to the PSJA ISD news release.

During a special signing ceremony on Monday, Cano signed to play for Texas A&M International University in Laredo.

Cano’s commitment to excellence has earned him numerous accolades including Pitcher of the Year, Most Valuable Player, and First Team All-State Designated Hitter, said the district. 

“We are incredibly proud of Vinny and all that he has accomplished during his time at PSJA ECHS,” said Head Baseball Coach Marco Guajardo. “His hard work and determination have paid off, and we are excited to see him continue his baseball career at the collegiate level with Texas A&M International.” 

Cano plans to pursue a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Biology to become a physical therapist.
