HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Tonight, the Rio Grande Valley had a Marginal Risk for severe storms. The timing will be between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. with storms beginning in Starr County and moving East.

The entire Valley is also included in a marginal (1/4) risk for flooding.

Future rainfall estimates remain greater in the upper Valley. Isolated locations could see 3-4 inches of rain fall in a very short amount of time, which could lead to minor flooding concerns.

We also have threats of quarter-sized hail and damaging winds. If you are issued a severe thunderstorm warning, stay indoors and away from windows.
