Port Isabel police investigate 1-year-old's death

PORT ISABEL, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Port Isabel Police Department is awaiting a preliminary autopsy for the death of a 1-year-old girl.

Port Isabel Police Chief Robert Lopez said the toddler was found unresponsive in her home off of South Shore Drive on Thursday.

Police say the case is still under investigation.
