Police identify suspects in McAllen shooting death investigation

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Police have identified and formally charged two people in connection to a fatal shooting inside a McAllen home.

Two Donna residents face charges after one person was found inside a McAllen home with multiple gunshot wounds on Monday.

Nathan Germain, 30, and Carmen Lizeth Valdez, 31, were arrested by McAllen police for their involvement in the fatal shooting that claimed the life of 36-year-old David Martinez.

Germain is facing charges of murder, felon in possession of firearm and tampering with/fabricating physical evidence.

His bond for all three charges is set at $370,000.

Valdez is facing charges of murder, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a dangerous drug, possession of marijuana and two counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.

Her bond amount for all six charges is set at $201,000.

Both suspects remain at the Hidalgo County Jail.
