DONNA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A Donna Independent School District bus driver has been taken into custody on a robbery charge, the Donna Police Department confirmed Friday.
Apolinar Rodriguez, 53, is being charged with robbery, a second-degree felony, according to a Donna PD spokesperson.

Police confirmed Rodriguez is a Donna ISD bus driver. The district wasn't immediately available for comment Friday afternoon.
Rodriguez allegedly assaulted a woman during an altercation and forcibly took her property before fleeing the area, the department said in a news release.
He later turned himself in to police and was formally charged with robbery.
Police say Rodriguez was also issued a protective order related to family violence.
He was issued a $100,000 bond.
