Pisharodi: It’s frustrating I could not influence the experts on how best to manage the coronavirus

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Brownsville physician Madhavan A. Pisharodi says he regrets not being able to persuade the experts to better manage COVID-19.

In a new video co-produced by the Rio Grande Guardian, the board-certified neurosurgeon, inventor, and entrepreneur said he just could not get the federal government or the World Health Organization to listen to his ideas.

“I had been following the COVID pandemic from the very beginning with utter disbelief and sadness,” Pisharodi says, in the video. “I was concerned from the very beginning that some important factors were overlooked.”

Pisharodi continued: “I believe then and I believe now that some lives and some infections could have been avoided. I was also frustrated that I could not get my ideas to the experts in time to be able to influence the pandemic management.”

Among those ideas are better ventilation in homes and offices.

Since 2020, Pisharodi has been researching ways to prevent the next coronavirus pandemic. His research has culminated in a new book titled, “Corona: Be Not Proud.” The title is based on a 16th Century poem called “Death Be Not Proud.”

“I hate the coronavirus just as much as the poet hated death,” Pisharodi says in the video. The book can be purchased through Amazon.

Pisharodi says he hopes the new video will be seen by federal officials in Washington, D.C.
