PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Three Pharr Firefighters and three EMS workers volunteered to help assist in battling the wildfires in the Texas panhandle.
State officials requested assistance to help control what is known as the largest wildfire in Texas history.
The team left the Valley Wednesday, according to a spokesperson with the City of Pharr.
The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for the Panhandle from Saturday morning through midnight.
