Pharr EDC and Region One ESC support local teachers

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Pharr Economic Development Corporation and Region One Education Service Center hosted a presentation for aspiring teachers in the community.

On Wednesday, EDC and Region One ESC announced their partnership to help residents of Pharr become certified educators through Region One ESC's Teacher Alternative Certification program at the Pharr EDC building located at 1215 S. Cage Blvd.

The certification is offered to Pharr residents interested in teaching in local classrooms at no cost, according to the release.
