Pharr Connect Innovation Center now open to public

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Pharr Connect Innovation Center is officially open to the public.

A ribbon-cutting event was held Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the grand opening.

Pharr Connect is a city service that offers affordable, high-speed internet to ensure residents can stay connected.

"It's so important for our community to have affordable Internet. Now, individuals can pay a very low cost to have connectivity, so they don't have to go to local eateries to connect to Wi-Fi," said Pharr City Manager Jonathan Flores.

The new center is open for residents to learn more about Pharr Connect.

"We'll have a showroom, and they [residents] will be able to test out the internet, and they'll be able to see how fast the connectivity is," Flores continued.
