Pharr celebrates opening of Valley's first IKEA on Oct. 1

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The grand opening for the Valley's first IKEA store is almost here!

According to the IKEA official website, the popular furniture store is scheduled to open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at its new location at 500 N. Jackson Road, Suite A-2 and B-1. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on opening day.

The Pharr IKEA location will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Sunday.

The furniture store will include affordable Scandinavian-designed flat-packed furniture, a variety of living room, kitchen and bedroom showrooms, and of course, its Swedish meatballs.

The store is packed with over 1600 products that are ready for customers to take home or have delivered to their homes.

The Pharr location would mark the 15th IKEA location in Texas. The company has 481 stores in 63 markets across the globe. Seventy-four of them are in North America, while 285 are in Europe.
