PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Pharr Aquatic Center is now open to the public for summer.
The City of Pharr kicked off the seasonal grand opening of the aquatic center on June 9 with a Splash-A-Palooza event.
"It's a fun space for our children to enjoy their summer. We know parents are looking to keep children busy, and this is just the perfect location," said Kenia Gomez, Assistant Director of Communications with the City of Pharr.
The Pharr Aquatic Center features a lazy river, a pool, slides, and a baby section.
"There's just so much for kids of all ages," Gomez continued. "We have lifeguards on duty at all times. We have staff here supervising. So we invite all parents and children to come over to our Pharr Aquatic Center and just have a good time this summer."
The facility will be open from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
On Saturdays and Sundays, the center is open from 1 to 7 p.m.
