PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A teen is arrested in connection with a stabbing, the Pharr Police Department announced.
At approximately 10:08 p.m. on Friday, July 11, authorities responded to a stabbing. According to a news release from Pharr PD, investigators believe the stabbing took place near Old Ridge Road and Jackson Road.
Blood was found at the scene.
Authorities arrested 17-year-old Fernando Gaytan and charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He was issued a $100,000 bond and has been transported to the Hidalgo County Jail.
No additional details are available at this time as the investigation continues, authorities say.
