PD: Man shot dead in hotel parking lot, investigation underway 

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Edinburg police are investigating a fatal shooting.

The incident occurred at 4:30 a.m. at the 200 block of North 25th Avenue, according to a release from the Edinburg Police Department.

At the scene, police found a man, who was later pronounced dead, with gunshot wounds in the parking lot area of the hotel.

Police sealed off the area and a criminal investigation is taking place.

Edinburg police have not released the man's identity until the next of kin is notified.
