PD: Man arrested for stabbing girlfriend in the leg

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man was taken into custody for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend in the leg, according to the Edinburg Police Department.

At approximately 3:20 a.m., on Saturday, May 24, authorities responded to the Mission Regional Hospital, where a woman reported to have been stabbed in the leg by her boyfriend, identified as 48-year-old Eduardo Moralez.

The victim reported that the stabbing occurred during an argument at a residence located on the 2500 block of Ocotillo Avenue.

According to the release, the victim said that both had been drinking and using narcotics prior to the incident, which took place at 1 a.m.

She was later transferred to McAllen Medical, where she is reported to be in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities later located Moralez and took him into custody without further incident.
