ELSA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Two middle school students were detained Monday in connection to alleged threats that were made toward the Edcouch-Elsa Independent School District.
The Elsa Police Department was made aware of the threats that were made over social media.
Police were able to identify a 13-year-old student in connection to the alleged threat. The teen was detained at Truan Jr. High School.
During the investigation, a second unreported threat was discovered. As a result, a second 13-year-old student from Truan Jr. High was also detained.
Both teens were turned over to juvenile detention and will be charged with making a terroristic threat, according to police.
