HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Monster Jam 2024 is set for this weekend and many fans will be there. It is described as a one-of-a-kind experience that'll leave you on the edge of your seat.

NBC's Danielle Banda recently had a chance to get an exclusive sit-down interview with MJ Solorio the driver of "El Toro Loco".

Solorio spoke of his journey to becoming a driver, "It was a long road to get here. I started just as a fan, going to events at my local fairgrounds, and seeing all those trucks. I was just enamored by the size of the trucks, and how loud they are. It's just something that I always wanted to do. All through high school, I was going to school to become a mechanic. I was always good at working with my hands. Went to college to become a mechanic, and then after that, I was like, man, monster trucks are still in my head. I still want to do it. So I found my way into the industry. Worked my way from the bottom up. I started just renting on the trucks as a mechanic, did that for a couple of years, and ended up getting put into the driver's seat through that team. Drove for them for about a year or two, and then I got the call from Monster Jam, and I couldn't turn it down. And I'm going into my sophomore year now, and I couldn't be happier."

Monster Jam 2024 is coming to the Payne Arena in Hidalgo on Sept. 13 through the 15th. For tickets visit Monster Jam.
